ROUND THE WORLD TRIP

We visited 22 countries on 5 continents in 292 days (9.5 months).

This is the route we took around the world.

We did not fully plan the route before we left, but we did have a rough idea of where we wanted to go and for about how long.

We originally planned to go to almost 30 countries, but we quickly realized that if we wanted to spend more time experiencing the cities and spend less time traveling between them, we had to sacrifice a few countries.

We also had never heard of many of the cities we stopped in, but learned of them along the way by talking to locals, fellow travelers, and doing research as we went.

We highly recommend going with the flow and seeing where the trip takes you if you decide to embark on a Round the World trip. But it is beneficial to have a vague idea of what direction you are headed.
